AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.16 OF THE MOSES LAKE MUNICIPAL
CODE ENTITLED "WEIGHT AND LOAD RESTRICTIONS"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 10.16 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Weight and Load Restrictions" is
amended as follows:
10.16.060 Transportation of Hazardous Materials: Hazardous materials, other than flammable and
explosive, shall be transported on truck routes of the State of Washington. Local delivery of
hazardous material shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Moses Lake Police Chief or his
representative. Transport of flammable, explosive, and hazardous waste materials regulated by
the State Fire Code shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Fire Chief. No hazardous materials
may be stored on trucks within the City of Moses Lake.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication
of its summary as provided by law.
