AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2.48 OF THE MOSES LAKE MUNICIPAL
CODE ENTITLED "PLANNING COMMISSION"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 2.48 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Planning Commission" is amended as
follows:
2.48.010 Commission Established: The Planning Commission of the city shall consist of nine (9) members
who shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council, pursuant to MLMC
2.08.040. Additionally, up to two (2) ex officio members may be appointed by the Mayor and
confirmed by the City Council who reside in the city's urban growth area but outside the corporate
limits of the city. The ex officio members shall have no vote.
2.48.030 Recommendations on Proposed Legislation: The City Council may refer to the Commission, for
its recommendation and report, any ordinance, resolution, or other proposal relating to any of the
matters and subjects referred to in RCW Chapter 35.63, and the Commission shall promptly
report to the City Council thereon, making such recommendation and giving such counsel as it
may deem proper in the premises.
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication
of its summary as provided by law.
