AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The following described public right-of-wayshall be vacated:
That portion ofthe alley coincidentto Lot 27,Broad Ripple Addition No.1,in the Southwest 1/4,
Section 23, Township 19 North, Range 28 East W.M.,City of Moses Lake, Grant County,
Washington,described as follows,and shown in Exhibit A:
A 3.00 foot wide strip of land coincident to the westerly lot line of Lot27, Broad Ripple Addition,
Number 1,recorded in Grant County major plat records,volume 6,page 24, AND the alley
vacated by Cityof Moses Lake, WA,through ordinance number 849. More accurately described
as follows:
Beginning at the mostwesterly corner of said Lot27;thence along the westerly line of said vacated
alley,N28°00'00"W 22.66 feet, to the northerly line of said vacated alley;thence along the northerly
line of a 20.00 foot alley dedicated on said Broad Ripple Addition,N89°56'10"W 3.40 feet;thence
S28°00'00"E 82.66 feet to the extended south line of Lot 27 as described in the Quit Claim Deed
filed under Auditors File Number 523740 of Grant County records;thence along said extended
south line,S89°56'10"E 3.40 feet to the southwesterly corner of Lot 27,as it now exists;thence
along the westerly line of Lot 27,N28°00'00"W 60.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 248 square feet more or less.
Subject to the following:
1.A municipal and public easement is retained over the vacated alley described above.
2. No fence,or other obstruction,is allowed to be installed within the vacated alley described
above.

Section 2.The city shall be compensated for one half the appraised value of the vacated property. The
vacation shall not become effective until the required compensation is received by the city.
Section 3.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its passage and publication of
its summary as provided by law.
