AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF RIVIERA PLAT
TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,GRANT COUNTY,WASHINGTON
WHEREAS,a petition was filed with the City Clerk of the City of Moses Lake
on July 23,1963 by V.O.Stringfellow requesting a vacation of a portion of
Riviera Addition Plat to the City of Moses Lake,Grant County,Washington,
as recorded in Volume 7 of Plats,Page 5,records of Grant County,Washington,
a description of said portion to be vacated being hereinafter more particularly
described;and
WHEREAS,on August 5,1963 a notice of hearing on said petition was duly
issued by the City Clerk of the City of Moses Lake,setting a public hearing
thereon for August 27,1963 at the hour of 8:00 PM in the Assembly Room,
City Hall,City of Moses Lake;and

of granting said petition;and
WHEREAS,it appearing that V.O.Stringfellow is the owner of that portion of
the plat sought to be vacated
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BYTHE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OFMOSESLAKE,AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.That portion of Riviera Addition Plat to the City of Moses Lake,
Grant County,Washington,as recorded in Volume 7 of Plats at Page 5,records
of Grant County,Washington,described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest (NW)corner of Block One (1)Riviera Addition,as recorded in the files of the GrantiCountyAuditorVolume7,page 5,on January 17,1956;thenceEastalongtheNortherlyboundaryofBlock1totheNortheast
corner;thence Southerly along the Easterly boundaries ofBlock1andBlock2ofsaidplattotheSoutheastcornerofBlock2,a point on the Northerly boundary of Lark Avenue;thence West along the Northerly boundary of the right-of-wayofLarkAvenueextendedtoitsintersectionwiththecenterline
of Laurel Drive;thence North along the centerline of Laurel DrivetoitsintersectionwiththeNorthboundaryoftheright-of-wayofRivieraAvenueextended;thence Westerly along the Northboundaryoftheright-of-way of Riviera Avenue extended to its
intersection with the West boundary of the right-of-way of Laurel Drive;

thence North along the West boundary of the right-of-way of
Laurel Drive to a point which is 40.00 feet South of the
centerline of Wheeler Road;thence easterly on a line parallel
to and 40.00 feet South of the centerline of Wheeler Road
to the Northwest corner of said Block 1,the point of beginning,
is hereby vacated
PROVIDED,however,a thirty (30)foot easement for street purposes
and public utilities shall remain on that portion of Laurel Avenue herein
vacated which lies adjacent to the unvacated and remaining part of
Riviera Addition,being Block Three (3)and Riviera Avenue .
Section 2 .A certified copy of this Ordinance shall be filed with the
Grant County Auditor.
PASSED by the City Council and APPROVED by its Mayor this 26th
day of November,1963.
