AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 120.40,130.40
AND 135.40 OF ORDINANCE No.433 ENTITLED "THE
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF
MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON,"AS AMENDED BY SECTION
3 OF ORDINANCE No.491,BYAMENDING OFF-STREET

AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1:Sections 120.40,130.40 and 135.40 or Ordinance No.433 as
amended by Section 3 of Ordinance No.491,are each hereby amended to
read as follows:
"Off-street parking and loading facilities shall be provided
for all uses in compliance with those sections having the
prefix "260".Residences are required to provide oneparkingspaceforeachdwellingunitonthepremises.
When more than one parking space is required,all addition-
al parking spaces shall be provided behind the building set-
back line from front and flank street s .No lot or portion
thereof shall be used for parking or storing trucks or other
motor vehicles exceeding one ton net capacity,or commercial,
industrial,and agricultural equipment or machinery."
"PROVIDED,however,a truck exceeding one ton net capacityIusedasameansoftransportationtoandfromaplaceof
business or employment may be parked on the premises ten(10)feet or more from an adjoining residence for a continuous
period not to exceed forty-eight (48)hours on weekdays and
sixty (60)hours on weekends .A truck exceeding one ton net
capacity which is not used as a means of transportation to and
from a place of business or employment may be parked on thepremisesforacontinuousperiodnottoexceedfour(4)hours .
Said parking shall be in compliance with existing ordinances
of the City of Moses Lake and ordinances hereinafter enacted,
pertaining to public health,safety,and welfare.This section
shall not be construed to allow the maintenance of a public
or private nuisance."
"PROVIDED FURTHE R,that nothing herein contained shall be
construed to allow,wholly or partially,a commercial use orventureonorfromthepremises."
Section 2:This ordinance shall take effect and be in force after its passage
and publication.

May,1964.
