530_00001ORDINANCE No.,530 AN ORDINANCE REVISING ORDINANCE No.476 RELATING TO ELECTRICITY,AND REVISING THESCHEDULEOFFEES,AND INSPECTIONS I THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKEDO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1.Section 5 (b)of Ordinance No.476 be recinded. SECTION 2 .A new Section 5 (b)is hereby created as follows: Permit fees for non-residential wiring -Pees to be based on contractor's bid price or estimate including fixtures and equipment permanently connected in accordance with the following schedule: 1.$1.00 to $300.00 $3.00 $301.00 to $600.00 4.00 $601.00 to $1,000.00 6.00 Each additional $1,000.00 or major fraction thereof 3.00 2.New Service entrance or increase in service to a new or existing building 3.00 3.Temporary Service 1.00 4.Electric signs,for wiring each circuit,unless incorporated in wiring permit of the building 1.00 5 ,An inspection fee of not less than $2.00 nor more than $5,00 for a commercial building will be charged for appraisal purposes or other than through the routine work of the inspector. 6 .Where work for which a permit is required by this code is started or commenced prior to obtaining a permit, the fees required by said permit shall be doubled. Ordinance No.530 (Continued) SECTION 3.Validity If any clause,sentence,paragraph or part of this Ordinance shall,for any reason,be adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional,such judgment shall not affect,impair or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance,but shall be confined in its operation to the clause,sentence,paragraph or part hereof direct- ly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered. SECTION 4.Penalty. Every person,firm,or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Ordinance or who shall refuse to comply therewith shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceed- ing $300.00 or by imprisonment in the City Jail for a period not exceeding 90 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
