AN OFDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 5.2 OF THE
MOSES LAKE MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED "GAR-
BAGE COLLECTION"BY AMENDING SECTION 5.2:60
Section 5.2 60 is hereby amended to read as follows:
5.2.60 RATES AND CHARGES--EFFECTIVE DATE--SCHEDULE.
All domestic water accounts furnished water by the City of Moses

Lake shall,during the time that water is being furnished to the
premises,he assessed and pay the applicable rate for garbage cal-lection under this chapter.If premises are to be unoccupied for
a definite period of time,the owner upon prior application of theFinanceDirectormayreceiveawaiverofgarbagecollectioncharges
during the specified period.
Commencing August 1,1972,services and charges for the services
rendered shall be as follows:
RESIDENTIAL RATES:Regular service at the Curb:tWo
dollars and fifteen cents per month for collection once per week.Additional or other services desired by a customer may be arrangedandpaidfordirectlywiththecontractor.
MOTELS,AUTO COURTS,AND TRAILER CAMPS:Motels,autocourts,and trailer camps shall have their garbage and refuse picked
up not less than once each week and the owner or operator of each
such motel,auto court,or trailer camp shall provide an adequatenurberofcansatacentrallocation.Any business with a number
of cans exceeding seven shall have a detachable container.The
location of cans or container shall have the approval of the San-
itation Inspector for the convenience of all tenants.Such classi-
fied services shall be charged under the commercial rate established
for the City of Moses Lake.
COMMERCIAL RATES:(Monthly)Daily,except Sunday 30¢
per can per pickup•$2.28 per 1 cubic yard container per pickup;
$2.64 per li cubic yard container per pickup-$3.00 per 1½Cubic
i yard container per pickup;$3.72 per 2 cubic yard container per pick-
up;$12.00 per 10 cubic yard container per pickup;$20.00 per 20cubicyardcontainerperpickup.A monthly rental fee of $5.00 percontainershallbechargedforeachcontainerused.
SANITARY FILL RATES:The sanitary fill for the City
of Moses Lake will be under the jurisdiction of the Sanitation
Inspector and will be kept open from nine a.m.to five p.m.,seven(7)days a week.Rates for private hauling and unloading at thesaidsanitaryfillshallbeasfollows:
$.50 For each pickup truck,car,or carwithtrailerwithoutsideboards.
.75 For pickup truck,car and trailerwithsideboards.
1.00 Per uncompacted cubic yard for all
other vehicles.
.10.00 For dumping automobiles and automo-bile hulks.
5.00 For dumping animals larger than alargedog
1.00 For dumping other animals
i For dumping septic tank wastes orotherliquidwastestobenegotiated.

Hauler percent of cost determined onNovember1,annually.
