654_00001ORDINANCE NO._654 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.433 WHOSE TITLE IS "THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OP THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,i WASHINGTON",BYADDING NEW SECTIONS REGULATING DISPIAYS AND STORAGE IN COMMERCIAL ZONES. NOW,THEREPORE,THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1.That Ordinance No.433 as amended,be amended to make the following addition: 3.24.110.026 Auto Wrecking Yard Any lot or area used for the dismantling or disassembling of motor vehicles.or trailers,or the storage,sale or dumping of four or more.dismantled, partially dismantled,obsolete or wrecked vehicles or their parts. Section 2.That Ordinance No.433 as amended,be amended to make the following addition: 3.24,140.60 "CNS"Zone Storage and Display Merchandise,equipment,supplies and other similar materials being stored shall be kept wholly within a building or A sight obscuring screening or fencing.Screening or fencing shall be constructed and /maintained to a height of at least six feet and shall be in conformance with Section 3.24.230.40.Materials required to be stored within a sight obscuring fence shall not be stacked or piled higher than the enclosing screen.Storage of nursery stock,operative automobiles,farm machinery,trailers,mobile homes,boats, and other similar items for rent or resale may be allowed in an open sales lot or next to the place of business. Open outdoor displays of merchandise are permitted on private property when they are located such that they don't interfere with parking,traffic,or pedestrian move-ment and are changed at least every sixty (60)days.Displays may consist ofIChristmastrees,bedding plants,peat moss,.or presto logs arranged in an orderly manner;larger items such as swing sets,stock racks,or utility buildings when not more than one (1)of a model is displayed. Section 3.That Ordinance No.433 as amended,be amended to make the following addition: 3.24.145.80 "Cl"Zone Storage and Display Merchandise,equipment,supplies and other similar materials being stored shall be kept wholly within a butiding orsightobscuringscreeningorfencing.Screening or fencing shall bè constructed and maintained to a height of at least six feet and shall be in conformance with Section 3.24.230,40.Materîals required to be stored whithin a sight obscurîng fence shall not be stacked or piled higher than the enclosing screen.Storage of nursery stock, operative automobiles,farm machinery,trailers,mobile homes,boats,and othersimilaritemsforrentorresalemaybeallowedinanopensaleslotornexttothe place of business.
