AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.20.20 OF CKAPTER 6.20,ENTITLED"PRIVATE DETECTIVES",TO UPDATE THE STANDARDS FOR ISSUANCE OF
A LICENSE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON,DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 AMENDMENT TO SECTION 6.20.20 Section 6.20.20 of the Moses Lake City Codeisherebyamendedtoreadasfollows:I 6.20.20 STANDARDS FOR ISSUANCE OF LICENSE The Police Chief shall recommend issuanceofalicensehereunderwhenhefindsthattheapplicanthasneverbeenconvictedof any'felony or any offense involving moral turpitude;that the applicant has successfullycompletedthirtyhoursoftraininginpolicescience,investigative research,or otherrelateddiscipline,said training being either through school or a law enforcement
agency,and;that the applicant has complied with all other ordinances of the City ofMosesLake,laws of the state of Washington,and laws of the United States.
Section 2 CUMULATIVE EFFECT The provisions of this ordinance shall he cumulative andshallnotoperatetorepealanyordinanceorpartsofordinanceotherthanthatspecificallyrepealed.
Section 3 SEVERABILITY The invalidity of any part of this ordinance shall not effectthevalidityofanypartwhichcanbegiveneffectwithoutsuchinvalidpartorparts.
Section 4 EFFECTIVE DATE This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its passage and publication as provided by law.
