AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER2.60 OF THEMOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"COMPENSATIONOF CITY OFFICERS"BY INCREASINGTHECOMPENSATIONOFTHEMAYORANDCOUNCILMEN
THECITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTON,DOORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 2.60,Section 2.60.010 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitledi"Compensation of City Officers"is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.60.010 Mayor.The Mayor shall be paid $175for each meeting attendednottoexceed2meetingseachmonth.The term "meeting"used in thissectionshallmeanregular,special,executive,or study meetingscalledforattendanceoftheentireCityCouncil.The aforementionedsalarytobepaidtheMayoroftheCityisfullcompensationforhisservices,in lieu of any remuneration for his services as a City Council-man.
Section 2.Chapter 2.60,Section 2.60.020 of the Moses Lake Muniicipal Codeentitled"Compensation of City Officers"is hereby amended to read as follows:
2.60.020 Councilmen.Each City Councilman,except the Mayor,shall bepaid$75for each meeting attended,not to exceed two meetings eachmonth.The term "meeting"used in this section shall mean regular,special,executive,or study meetings called for attendance of theentireCityCouncil.
Section 3.Effective Date.Salary increases herein provided for shall not beeffectiveduringthetermofofficeofincumbents.
Section 4.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days afteritspassageandpublicationasprovidedbylaw.I PASSEDby the City Council of the city of Moses Lake,Washington,and APPROVEDbyitsMayorthis9thdayofOctober.19 9.
