AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER2.60 OF THEMOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"COMPENSATIONOF CITY OFFICERS"BY AMENDINGSECTION2.60.010 ANDBYADDINGA NEWSECTION2.60.030
THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDOORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Section 2.60.010 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code is hereby amended tor2a60.0 OfolloM
y r.The Mayor shall be paid one hundred seventy-five dollars foreachmeetingattended,not to exceed two meetings each month.The term"meeting"used in this section shall mean regular,special,or studymeetingscalledforattendanceoftheentireCityCouncil.The afore-mentioned salary to be paid the Mayor of the city is full compensationforhisservices,in lieu of any remuneration for his services as aCityCouncilman.
Section 2.Section 2.60.030 shall read as follows:
2.60.030 Excused Absenses.The Mayor and City Councilmen may be excused fromattendinguptotworegular,special,or study meetings per year with-out a deduction in compensation.Absences shall be excused for vaca-tions.The Mayor or City Councilman may be excused because of illnessfromanyregular,special,or study meetings without a deduction incompensation.The Mayor or City Councilman wishing to be excused fromameetingmustnotifythesecretarytotheCityCouncilpriortothemeeting.The absence shall be announced and the reason therefore atthetimerollcallistakenatthemeetingandshallberecordedasexcusedintheminutesofthemeeting,if minutes are taken.
Section 3.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on January 1,1982.
