A.All water service connections shall be metered and all separatebuildingsshallbeseparatelyconnectedtothecitywatersystem,except that separate buildings which are an integral part of asinglebusinessorindustrymaybeservedbyamastermeterserv-ing the property.The following charges shall be made by the cityformakingmeteredwaterserviceconnectionsandthechargesshallbepaidinfullbeforetheconnectionismade:

B.The charges listed in Subsection A shall apply only to connectionsmadealonganystreetwhereamainexists.In consideration ofthecharges,the city water department shall lay the service pipefromthemaintothemeterandshallinstallameterandmeterboxinofurtherthantenfeetfromthepropertyline.Responsibilityforinstallationandmaintenanceoftheservicepipingbeyond themetershallbethesoleresponsibilityofthepropertyowner.
C.Existing meters may be utilized without payment of the chargeslistedinSubsectionsAandBexceptthatactualcostsforre-pairing those meters and placing them in operable condition willbechargedtotheuser.
D.Should water consumption exceed the rated capacity of the watermeter,the city may replace the meter with a larger meter,withactualcostsforreplacementbecominganobligationoftheuser.
Section 2.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days afteritspassageandpublicationasprovidedbylaw.
