1108_00001ORDINANCENO.1108 AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGMOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODECHAPTER13.08ENTITLED"WATERANDSEWERCONNECTIONS"BYAMENDINGSECTION13.08.020 THE CITY COUNCILOF THE CITY OFMOSESLAKE,WASHINGTON00 ORDAINAS FOLLOWS: Section 1.Chapter 13.08 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Water ande3Or8.CO2n0nectionesr S rv eerebCnanen edn harr ae :as follows: A.All water service connections shall be metered and all separatebuildingsshallbeseparatelyconnectedtothecitywatersystem,except that separate buildings which are an integral part of asinglebusinessorindustrymaybeservedbyamastermeterserv-ing the property.The following charges shall be made by the cityformakingmeteredwaterserviceconnectionsandthechargesshallbepaidinfullbeforetheconnectionismade: Charge if Meter Charge for Meter Instal-City Installed Charge For lation Only if ServiceAlongWithUpsizingaandMainareDeveloper/Meter Size Meter and Box 3/4"to 1"OwnerInstalled 3/4"$545 $551".600 $65 951½H 910 3002"or larger Cost plus 15%Cost plus 15% B.The charges listed in Subsection A shall apply only to connectionsmadealonganystreetwhereamainexists.In consideration ofthecharges,the city water department shall lay the service pipefromthemaintothemeterandshallinstallameterandmeterboxinofurtherthantenfeetfromthepropertyline.Responsibilityforinstallationandmaintenanceoftheservicepipingbeyond themetershallbethesoleresponsibilityofthepropertyowner. C.Existing meters may be utilized without payment of the chargeslistedinSubsectionsAandBexceptthatactualcostsforre-pairing those meters and placing them in operable condition willbechargedtotheuser. D.Should water consumption exceed the rated capacity of the watermeter,the city may replace the meter with a larger meter,withactualcostsforreplacementbecominganobligationoftheuser.
