AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER5.40 OF THE MDSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"TAXICABS"
THE CITYCOUNCILOF THECITY OF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTON00 ORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 5.40 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Taxicabs"isherebyamendedasfollows:
5.40.120 Identification Costs of Screening:
A.Every taxicab driver shall,at all times,have in his possession
an identification card in a form approved by the Police Chief.Such card shall have thereon,in addition to such other informa-tion as may be required by the Police Chief,the photograph.rightindexprint,name of employer,and signature of the person beingidentifiedanddateofexpirationofthecard.
B.The Police Chief shall charge a one time fee of twenty-fivedollars($25)to help defray the costs of screening any applicantforanidentificationcardandlicenseandhemay,in addition toanyotherfees,charge the applicant the actual cost of the card.All identification cards shall expire on the 31st day of Decemberofeachyear.
C.All identification cards shall remain the property of the City ofMosesLake.When a holder of an identification card shall leavetheanploymentofataxicabcompany,said holder shall immediatelysurrenderhisidentificationcardandforwarditimmediatelytothePoliceChief.The former employee may then reapply for anidentificationcarduponanploymentwithanothertaxicabcompanylicensedbytheCityofMosesLake.
Section 2.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days afteriitspassageandpublicationasprovidedbylaw.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by its Mayor on November 22,1983.
