ANORDINANCEAMENDINGMOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODESECTION5.06.080 ENTITLED"FEE SCHEDULE"
THE CITY COUNCILOF THECITY OF MOSESLAKE;WASHINGTONDOORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Moses Lake Municipal Code Section 5.04.080 is amended to provideasfoTlow:i 5.06.080 Fee Schedule:The business license fee schedule is fixed in theamountof$100 per year,payable in advance,for each business,trade,or profession,conducted or carried on within the corporatelimitsofthecity;provided,that tax exempt nonprofit companies,associations,corporations,or copartnerships of whatever kind asdefinedbythefederalorstategovernment,shall not be requiredtopaythebusinesslicensefee,but,nevertheless,shall obtain abusinesslicense,without fee,if conducting a business in order toraisefundsfrommembersoutsidetheorganization.The businesslicensefortaxexemptnonprofitcompanies,associations,corpora-tions,or copartnerships of whatever kind as referred to hereinshallbeobtainedonceandshallbeeffectiveforthelifetime oftheorganization.This exemption is an addition to that providedinSection5.06.090.No business,trade;or profession conductedorcarriedoninasinglelocationunderonemanagementorowner-ship shall pay more than one license fee regardless of the multiplenatureofthebusinesscarriedon;Provided further that no taxexemptnonprofitcompanyassociationcorporation,or copartner-ship of whatever kind as defined by the federal or state govern-ments which operates or conducts a community festival or event ofnomorethanfourdaysindurationshallberequiredtoobtainabusinesslicenseashereinpreviouslyprovidedandtheexemptionwhichhasbeenprovidedshallextendtothefestival's or event'siparticipantsoperatingundersanctionofsaidfestivalorevent.Any business;profession;or trade in more than one location withinthecityshallpayalicensefeeforeachlocationwherethebusi-ness profession;or trade is conducted.
Section 2.The City Council declares that an emergency exists and that thisordinanceshalltakeeffectandbeinforcefivedaysafterpassageandpublicationasprovidedbylawupononereadingiftwothirdsoftheentireCityCouncilpresentvoteinfavorofpassage.
