ANORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER18.28 OF THEMOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"C-1,CENTRALBUSINESSDISTRICT ZONE"
THE CITY COUNCILOF THECITY OF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDO OROAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 18.28 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "C-1,Cen-
tral Business District Zone"is amended as follows:I 18.28.040 Conditional Uses:The following specific and generally described
uses shall be permitted in the C-1 Zone only as a conditional usesubjecttotheapprovalofthePlanningCommissionincompliance
with the provisions of this chapter and Chapter 18.57 of this titleentitled"Conditional and Unmentioned Uses."
A.Churches
B.Schools
C.Hospitals
D.Gasoline stations
E.Any permitted development over two (2)acres in size
F.Open sale lots
G.Temporary or seasonal uses exceeding seven (7)days induration
H.Keeping of livestock,poultry,rabbits,or bees
i I.Bulk storage of hazardous,combustible,or explosivesubstances
J.Any commercial use not on city sanitary sewer.
K.Locating containers formerly used for transporting sea-going
cargo,railroad cars and cabooses,semi-trailers when intended
to be used as storage facilities,or any other unit which
slides off a chassis or frame when intended to be used as astoragefacilityshallmeetthefollowingminimumconditions:
1.Be placed on concrete,asphalt,or level compacted hardsurfaceatalltimes.
2.Be painted so as to blend in with the building to whichitisassociated.
3.Not be visible to the motoring public or from residentialneighborhoodsimmediatelyadjacenttothepropertywhereitislocatedunlessothermeasuresareemployedtomiti-gate the visual impact of the containers formerly used
for transporting sea-going cargo,railroad cars andcabooses,semi-trailers when intended to be used asstoragefacilities,which measures shall be approved byIthePlanningCommission,provided,that the Planning Com-mission does not need to require mitigation measures ifitisfeltthatthemotoringpublicoradjacentresiden-tial neighborhoods are not impacted.
4.Abide by all set back requirements applicable to the zoneinwhichitislocated.
L.Other unmentioned uses ruled by the Planning Commission to be
a conditional use or uses permitted by specific provision ofthischapterasaconditionaluse.
M.Residential Uses
Section 2.The City Council declares that an emergency exists and this or-dinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its passage and
publication as provided by law upon one reading if 2/3 of the entire City
Council present vote in favor of passage.
