ANORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER2.44 OF THEMOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"PARKANDRECREATIONCOMMISSION"
THE CITY COUNCILOF THECITY OF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTON00 ORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 2.44 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Park andiRecreationCommission"is amended as follows:
2.44.010 Commission Established:There is created a Parks and RecreationCommissionforthecity,consisting of seven (7)members,to beappointedbytheMayorwiththeconsentoftheCouncil,fromcitizensofrecognizedabilitywhoresidewithinthecorporatelimitsofthecity.
2.44.025 Removal:A member may be removed for cause during his or her termuponarecommendationfromtheMayorandtheaffirmativemajorityvoteoftheCouncilsittingwithaquorum.If a memberis absentfromtwo(2)meetings per year without excuse,excuses being per-mitted for personal or family illness and vacations,cause existsforremoval.The member wishing to be excused from a meeting mustnotifythesecretarytotheCommissionpriortothemeeting.Theabsenceshallbeannouncedandthereasonthereforatthetimerollcallistakenatthemeetingandshallberecordedasexcusedintheminutesofthemeeting,if minutes are taken.
2.44.030 Meetings:The Parks and Recreation Commission shall devote suchtimeasmaybenecessarytoproperlydischargealldutiesdevolvinguponthem,and they shall serve without compensation.The Commis-sion members shall appoint from among themselves a chairman andvice-chairman whose terms shall run for one year,from the firstmeetingoftheCommissionafterthefirstoftheyearuntilanewIchairmanandvice-chairman are appointed in the subsequent year.AmajorityoftheCommissionshallconstituteaquorumforthetrans-action of business and three (3)affirmative votes shall be neces-sary to carry any proposition.A meeting of the Commissionshallbeheldatleastonceeachmonth.
Section 2.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)daysafteritspassageandpublicationasprovidedbylaw.
