AN ORDINANCE AMENDINGCHAPTER 5.06 OF THE MOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"LICENSINGREGULATIONS-TEMPORARYLOCATIONS"
THECITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDOORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 5.06 of the Moses Lake MunicipalCode entitled"UcensingRegulations -TemporaryLocations"is amended as follows:
5.06.080 Fee Schedule:The business licensefee schedule is fixedin the amount ofone hundreddonare($100)per year or part thereof,payable in advance,for each business,trade or profession,conducted or carried on withinthe corporate limitsofthe city;except for eachbusiness sellingfireworksasallowedbylawwhichshallpayabusinesslicensefeeofsixhundreddollars($600)per stand except for thosewhich are operated bynon-profitcompanies,associations,corpora-tions,or copartnerships which shall pay a fee of three hundred dollars ($300)per stand;provided,thattax exemptnonprofitcompanies,associations,corporations,or copartnershipsofwhateverkindasdefinedbythefederalorstategovernment,shall not be required to pay thebusinesslicensefeeexceptiftheyoperatefireworkssalesoperations,but,nevertheless,shallobtainabusinesslicense,withoutfee,if conducting a business in order to raise funds frommembersoutsidetheorganizadon.The business IIcense for tax exempt nonprofit companies,associations,corporations,or copartnerships of whateverkind as referredto herein shall beobtainedonceandshallbeeffectiveforthelifetimeoftheorganization.This exemptionis anadditiontothatprovidedinSection5.06.090.No business,trade or profession conducted orcarriedoninasinglelocationunderonemanagementorownershipshallpaymorethanonelicensefeeregardlessofthemultiplenatureofthebusinesscarriedon;Provided further that notaxexemptnonprofitcompany,association,corporation,or copartnershipof whateverkind asdefinedbythefederalorstategovernmentswhichoperatesorconductsacommunityfestival
or event or event of no more thanfourdays in durationshall be required to obtaina businesslicenseashereinpreviouslyprovidedandtheexemptionwhichhasbeenprovidedshallextendtothefestival'sor event's participantsoperating undersanction of said festival or event.Anybusiness,professionor trade inmorethan one location within the cityshai pay a license fee foreachlocationwherethebusiness,profession,or tradeisconducted.
Section 2.This ordinance shalltake effectand be in force five (5)days afterits passage and publication
as provided by law.
