AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER5.04 OF THE MOSESLAKE
MUNICIPALCODE ENTITLED"LICENSINGREGULATIONS'
THE CITYCOUNCILOF THE CITYOF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDOORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter5.04 ofthe Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled"Licensing Regulations isamendedasfollows:
5.04.080 Fee Schedule:The business license fee schedule Isfixed in the amount of eighty
dollars ($80.00)per year,payable in advance,for each business,trade or profession,conducted or carried on withinthe corporate limits of the city;provided,that tax ex-empt nonprofit companies,associations,corporations,or copartnerships of whatever
kind as definedby the federal or state government,shall not be required to paythebusinesslicensefee,but,nevertheless,shallobtaina business IIcense,withoutfee,ifconductingabusinessInordertoraisefundsfrommembersoutsidetheorganizatlon.The business license for tax exempt nonprofit companies,associations,corporations,or copartnerships ofwhatever kind as referred to herein shall be obtained once andshallbeeffectiveforthelifetimeoftheorganization.This exemptionis an additiontothatprovidedinSection5.04.090.No business,profession or trade conducted orcarriedoninasinglelocationunderonemanagementorownershipshallpaymorethanonelicensefeeregardlessofthemultiplenatureofthebusinesscarriedon;Pro-vided further that no tax exemptnonprofitcompany,association,corporation,or co-partnershipofwhateverkind as definedby the federal or state governmentswhichoperatesorconductsacommunityfestivaloreventofnomorethanfourdaysindurationshallberequiredtoobtainabusinesslicenseashereinpreviouslyprovidedandtheexemptionwhichhasbeenprovidedshallextendtothefestival's or event'sparticipantsoperatingundersanctionofsaidfestivalorevent.Any business,profes-sion or trade in more than one locationwithin the cityshall pay a license fee for eachlocationwherethebusiness,profession,or trade is conducted.
Section2.This fee will be effecivefor business licenses due for the 1991 calendar year.
Section 3.Thisordinanceshall take effectand be in force five (5)days after its passage and publication
as provided by law.
