AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER5.06 OF THE MOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"LICENSINGREGULATIONS-TEMPORARYLOCATIONS"
THECITYCOUNCILOF THECITYOF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDOORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 5.06 of the MosesLake Municipal Code entitled"Licensing Regulations-TemporaryLocations"is amended as follows:
5.06.080 Fee Schedule:The business license fee schedule Is fixed inthe amount oftwo hundreddollars($200)per year or part thereof,payablein advance,for each business,trade or pro-fession,conducted or carried on within the corporate limits of the city;except for each busi-ness sellingfireworks as allowedby law which shall pay a business license fee of sixhundreddollars($600)per stand except for those whichare operated by non-profit companies,asso-ciations,corporations,or copartnershipswhichshall pay a fee of three hundred dollars ($300)per stand;provided,that tax exempt nonprofitcompanies,associations,corporations,orcopartnershipsofwhateverkindasdefinedbythefederalorstategovemment,shallnot berequiredtopaythebusinesslicensefeeexceptIftheyoperatefireworkssalesoperations,but,nevertheless,shall obtain a business license,withoutfee,if conductinga business in order toralsefundsfrommembersoutsidetheorganization.The business license for tax exemptnonprofitcompanies,associations,corporations,or copartnerships of whateverkind asreferredtohereinshallbeobtainedonceandshallbeeffectiveforthelifetimeoftheorganiza-tion except ifthey operate fireworks sales operations in which case the tax exempt non-profitcompanies,associations,corporations,or co-partnerships of whatever kind shallobtain abusinesslicenseforeachyeartheyoperateafireworkssalesoperationandpaytheapproprl-ate fee.This exemptionis an additionto that providedin Section 5.06.090.No business,trade or profession conducted or carriedon in a singlelocation under one management orownershipshallpaymorethanonelicensefeeregardlessofthemultiplenatureofthebusi-
ness carried on;Provided further that no tax exempt nonprofitcompany,association,corpo-ration,or copartnership ofwhatever kindas definedby thefederal orstate governmentswhichoperatesorconductsacommunityfestivaloreventoreventofnomorethanfour daysindurationshallberequiredtoobtainabusinesslicenseashereinpreviouslyprovidedandtheexemptionwhichhasbeenprovidedshallextendtothefestival's or event's participantsoperatingundersanctionofsaidfestivalorevent.Any business,profession or trade in morethanonelocationwithinthecityshallpayalicensefeeforeachlocationwherethebusiness,profession,or trade is conducted.
Section 2.This ordinance shalltake effectand be in force five (5)days after its passage and publication
as providedby law.
