AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER 18.16 OF THE MOSESLAKEMUNICIPAL
CODE ENTITLED"R-1,SINGLEFAMILYRESIDENTIALZONE"
THECITYCOUNCILOF THECITYOF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDOORDAINASFOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter18.16 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled"R-1,SingleFamily Residential Zone"is amended as follows:
18.16.180 Fences.Walls,and Hedqqq:
A.Fences,walls,and hedges shallnot exceed four feet (4')above finished groundlevel in anyfrontyardorcomerlotexteriorsideyardnorexceedeightfeet(8')on any interior side orrearyard.
B,Electric fences and barbed wirefences shallbe prohibited.
C.An installation permitshall be required for the construction,erection,or Installationof afence,wall,or screening plantings.AIIpermitapplicationsshallbe revlewedand approvedbytheBuildingOfficialandtheCityEngineerforvehicularandpedestriansafety.Fencesandwallsexceedingsixfeet(6')in height are regulatedby the UniformBuilding Code andregulreabuildingpermit.
D.SubdivisionFencing:
1.SubdMslon fencing,walls,or screeningplantingsmay be allowedas a conditionalusesubjecttothereviewandapprovalofthePlanningCommission.
2.Asubdivisionmaybe enclosed partially or entirelywitha permanentlymaintained outerperimeterfence,wall,orscreeningplantingsorcombinationthereofnot to exceed eightfeet(8')in heightand tapering to no higher than four feet (4')at street Intersectionsand/or subdivisionentrances.
3.Allapplicationsfor subdivision fencing,walls,or screening plantingsshallbe reviewedbytheBuildingOfficialandtheCityEngineerforvehicularandpedestriansafety.TheBuildingOfficialandtheCityEngineershallrecommendtothePlanningCommissionthattheapplicationbeapproved,conditionallyapproved,or denied.
Section2.Thisordinance shalltake effectand be inforce five(5)days after its passage and publicationasprovidedbylaw.
