1483_00001ORDINANCENO,1483 ANORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER 18.19 OF THE MOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED'R-2,SINGLE FAMILYANDTWOFAMILYRESIDENTIAL2ONE" THE CITYCOUNCILOF THECITYOF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDOORDAINASFOLLOWS: Section 1.Chapter 18.19 ofthe Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled"R-1,Single Familyand Two FamilyResidentialZone"is amended as follows: 18.19.180 Fences,Walls,and Hedges: A.Fences,walls,andhedges shallnotexceed fourfeet (4')above finished ground levelinanyfrontyardorcornerlotexteriorsideyardnorexceedeightfeet(8')on anyinteriorside orrearyard. B.Electricfences and barbed wire fences shallbe prohibited. C.An installation permitshall be requiredfor the construction,erection,or installation of afence,wall,orscreening plantings.Allpermitapplicationsshallbe reviewedand approvedbytheBuildingOlficialandtheCityEngineerforvehicularandpedestriansafety.Fences and wallsexceedingsixfeet (6')in height are regulated bythe UniformBulldingCode andrequireabuildingpermit. D.SubdMaionFencing: 1.SubdMalon fencing,walls,or screening plantingsmay be allowedas a conditionalusesubjecttothereviewandapprovalofthePlanningCommission. 2.A subdivisionmaybe enclosed partially orentirelywitha permanentlymaintained outerperimeterfence,wall,or screening plantingsorcombinationthereofnotto exceed eightfeet(8')In heightand taperingto no higher than four feet (4')at street intersectionsand/or subdivisionentrances. 3.Allapplicationsfor subdMsionfencing,walls,or screening plantingsshallbe reviewedbytheBuildingOfHoialandtheCityEngîneerforvehicularandpedestriansafety.TheBuildingOfficialandtheCityEngineershallrecommendtothePlanningCommissionthattheapplicationbeapproved,conditionallyapproved,or denied. Section 2.This ordinanceshalltake effectand be in force five (5)days after its passage and publicationasprovidedbylaw.
