AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER 18.56 OF THE MOSESLAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"SIGNSANDBILLBOARDS"
THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITYOF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTONDOORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter18.56 ofthe Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled"Signsand Billboards"is amended asfollows:
18.56.100 Signs in Residential and Agricultural Zones:
A.Permanent subdivisionor neighborhood identification signs are permitted subject to thereviewandapprovalofthePlanningCommissîon.Permanent subdivision and neighborhood
signs shall be unobtrusiveand in keeping withthe character of the neighborhood.Suchsignsshallnotexceedeightfeet(8')in helght and thirty-two(32)square feet Insurface areaandshallbelocatedonprivatepropertyunlessalocationonexcesscityright-of-wayisapprovedbytheCouncil.
B.Off-premisesand on-premises signs may be allowedinthe Agricultural Zone subject to thereviewandapprovalofthePlanningCommission.Such signs must be in compliance withtheoffpremisesandon-premisessign provisionsof this chapter and may be approved bythePlanningCommissiononlyafterithasbeenshownthatsuchsignswillnotadverselyaffectadjacentuses.

D.On-premiSOS 6igns may be allowed in the R-3 Zone,Multi-familyResidential,for permittedcommercialuses,exclusiveof home occupations,subject to the review and approval ofthePlanningCommission.Such signs shall be in compliance with the on-premises signstandardsofthischapterandmaybeapprovedbythePlanningCommissiononlyafterIthasbeenshownthatsuchsignswillnotadverselyaffectadjacentornearlanduses.The
Commission may attach conditionsto the approval ofsuch signs to mitigateany adverseaffectstoadjacentornearlanduses.
O Section2.This ordinanceshall take effectand be in force five (5)days after its passage and publicationofitssummaryasprovidedbylaw.
