AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER 13.08 OF THE MOSESLAKEMUNICIPALÛODEENTITLED"WATERANDSEWER CONNECTIONS"
THE CITYCOUNCILOF THE CITYOF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTONDO ORDAINASFOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 13.08 of the Moses I.akeMunicipal Code entitled"Water and Sewer Connections"isamendedasfollows:
13.08.020 Water ServiceConnection Charges:
A.Allwater serviceconnections shall be metered and all separate buildingsshall be separatelyconnectedtothecitywatersystem,except that separate buildingswhich are an integral partofasinglebusinessorindustryorareundersingleownerahipmaybeservedbyamastermeterservingtheproperty.The charges listed in Moses Lake Municipal Code Chapter 3.58shallbemadebythecityforawaterserviceconnectionandthechargesshaÍlbepaidin
full before a connection is made'to the city-ownedmeter.
B.The propertyowneris responsible to supplyand install the serviceIÍne,saddle,setter,tile,ring,lid,and all fittingsfor connectingtothe water main percommunity standards.It shallbetheresponsibilityofthepropertyownertoscheduletheactualtaptothewatermainandthemeterinstallationwiththewaterdivision.
C.Should water consumption exceed the rated capacity of the water meter,the city mayreplacethemeterwithalargermeter.Costs assessed shall be as listá ín Moses Lake
Municipal Code Chapter3.58.
D.Meters larger than 2"shall be purchased and installed by owner,consistent with thecommunitystandards.
E.Water purity samples on new conútructionwillbe taken by the cityat a cost set forth inMosesLakeMunicipalCodeChapter3.58.
Section2.This ordinanceshall take effect and be in force five(5)days after its passage and publication
