ORDINANCE NO.1726
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF LAUREL DRIVE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTON DOORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.A portion of Laurel Drive described as follows,shall be vacated,except a thirtyfoot (30')easement shall be retained for municipaland publicworkspurposes;
O That portion of Laurel Drive contiguoustoa portion of Block 3,Riviera Addition to Moses Lake,as per plat recorded in Volume 7 of Plats,Page 5,Records of Grant County,Washington,described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast comer of said Block 3,whichis the point of beginning,thencealongtheeastboundarylineofBlock3,and thewest right-of-wayline of thecitystreet knownasLaurelDrive,south 00°22'54"West,101.35 feet;thenceNorth 89°3TO6"East,30.00 feettothecenterlineofLaurelDrive;thence along thecenterline of Laurel Drive,North 00°22'54"East,106.29 feet;thence South 81°01'43"West,30.40 feet tothe pointofbeginning;containing3114.4 square feet more or less.
Section 2.The cityshall be compensated for one half theappraised value ofthevacated property.Thevacationshallnotbecomeeffectiveuntiltherequiredcompensationisreceivedbythecity.
Section 3.This ordinance shall takeeffect and be in force five (5)days after its passage and publicationofitssummaryasprovidedbylaw.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by its Mayor on June 11,1996.
