AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 10.12 OF THE MOSES LAKEMUNICI-
PAL CODE ENTITLED "PARKING REGULATIONS"
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTON DOORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 10.12 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Parking Regulations"is amendedasfollows:
10.12.060 Handicapped and Fire Lane Parking -Penalty:
A.It shall be unlawful for any person topark a motorvehicle in a parking space indicated tobeforusebydisabledorhandicappedpersonsasindicatedbysignageincompliancewithRCW46.61.581,or by signage displaying the international symbolof access describedunderRCW70.92.120 upon theparking surface or upon a sign between thirty-sixinches(36")and eighty-four inches (84")off the ground unless such person shall display,orprovidedbythelawsoftheStateofWashington,a special card,decal,or license plateissuedunderRCW46.16.381.
B.It shall be unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle in any area denominated a firelanebytheFireChieforsodesignedbyaredcurb,or signage between thirty-sixinches(36")and eighty-fourinches (84")above ground demarcating a fire lane,except for FireDepartment,Police Department,or Municipal Services vehicles in the performance ofofficialduties.
C.Any person violating either subsection A or B above shall be deemed to have committedaparkinginfractionwhichshallbepunishablebyaminimummandatorypenaltyofonehundredseventy-fivedollars ($175).
Section 2.This ordinanceshall take effectand be in force five (5)days after its passage and publicationofitssummaryasprovidedbylaw.
