AN ORDINANCE ANNEXINGCERTAINTERRITORYTO THE CITY OF MOSESLAKE,WASHINGTON,AND INCORPORATINGTHESAMEWITHINTHE CORPO-RATE LIMITSOF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,AND WHICHPROVIDES FORTHEASSUMPTIONOFEXISTINGINDEBTEDNESSANDESTABLISHESTHEZONING
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THECITY OF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.The following described real estate,located north of East Broadway Extended,as shown ontheattachedmapmarkedExhibitAwhichbythisreferenceisincorporatedwithinthisordinance,situatedinGrantCountycontiguoustotheCityofMosesLakeisherebyannexedtoandincorporatedintheCityofMosesLake:
Lots 1 and 2 ofBroadway Business ParkShort Platas filed under AFN951113035,Book 6 ofShort Plats,pages 45and46and
thatportion ofSection 14,Township19North,Range 28 East,W.M.,Grant County,Washington,described asfollows;
Beginning at themost northerlycorner of Lot2,BroadwayBusiness Park Short Plat as flied November 11,1995 inVolume6ofShortPlats,pages 45 and 46,under Auditors File Number 951113035;thencealong the northwesterlylineofsaidLot2,Broadway Business Park Short Plat,South 53°42'41 West,148.40 feet to the northerly cornercommontoLot1andLot2,of said Broadway Business Park Short Plat,and to a point onthe north-south centerlineofsaidSection14;thence along thenorth-south centerline ofsaid section,North00°20'26"East,193.98 feet totheOcenterquartercornerofsaidsection;thencealong the south line oftheNW¼of said section,North 89°59'SS"West,537.42 feet to the southeast corner of a triangularparcel annexed intotheCity of Moses Lake,March13,1979,byOrdinanceNo.919;thencealongthenortheasterly line ofsaidtriangularparcel described insaid Ordinance No.919,North36*1719"West,566.61 feet tothenortherlycorner ofthe said triangular parcel described insaid OrdinanceNo.919,said point being on a diagonal lineconnecting the northeast corner and thesouthwest corner of the SE¼ofthe NW¼ofsaid Section 14;thencealong said diagonal line,North44°59'55"East,471.18 feet;thenceSouth36°1T19"East,1,111,85 feet tothepoint of beginning.
Section2,AIIproperty within the territoryannexed shall hereinafter be assessed and taxedat thesamerateandonthesamebasisasotherpropertywithinthecitytopayforanyoutstandingindebtednessoftheCityofMosesLakecontractedpriortoorexistingatthedateofannexation.No property hereinannexedshallbereleasedfrornanyoutstandingindebtednessleviedagainstitpriortosaidannexation.
Section 3.That a copy of thisordinance shall be filed withthe Board of CountyCommissionersof GrantCounty,Washington.
Section 4:That the annexed real estate described in Section 1 herein is zoned L-I,Light Industrial.
Section 5.This ordinanceshall takeeffectand be in force five (5)days after its passage and publicationofitssummaryasprovidedbylawandafterareviewbytheGrantCountyBoundaryReviewBoard.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by its Mayor on June 24,1997.
