ANORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13.08 OF THE MOSES LAKEMUNICI-PAL CODE ENTITLED "WATER AND SEWERCONNECTIONS"
THE CITYCOUNCILOF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 13.08 of the Moses Lake MunicipalCode entitled "Water and Sewer Connections"isamendedasfollows:
0 13.08.020 Water Service Connection Charges:
A.All water service connections shall be metered and all separate buildings shall beseparatelyconnectedtothecitywatersystem,except that separate buildings which areanintegralpartofasinglebusinessorindustryorareundersingleownershipmaybeservedbyamastermeterservingtheproperty.The charges listed in Moses LakeMunicipalCodeChapter3.58 shall be made bythecityfora water service connectionandthechargesshallbepaidinfullbeforeaconnectionismadetothecity-ownedmeter:
B.The propertyowneris responsibletosupplyand install theservice line,saddle,setter,tile,ring,lid,and all fittings for connecting tothewater mainpercommunity standards.Itshallbetheresponsibilityofthepropertyownertoscheduletheactualtaptothewatermainandthemeterinstallationwiththewaterdivision.
C.Should water consumption exceed the rated capacity of the water meter,the city mayreplacethemeterwithalargermeter.Costs assessed shall be as listed in Moses LakeMunicipalCodeChapter3.58.
D.Meters 2"and larger shall be purchased and installed by owner,consistent with thecommunitystandards.
E.The charges listed in Moses Lake Municipal Code Chapter 3.58 shall be made on newlyconstructedwatermainsforwaterpuritysamples,fillingand flushing mains,and connect-ing toexistingmains.O Section2.This ordinanceshall takeeffect and be in force five (5)days after its passage and publicationofitssummaryasprovidedbylaw.
Adopted by the CityCouncil and signed by its Mayor on July 22,1997.
