ANORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER 16.16 OF THE MOSES LAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"MOVINGBUILDINGS"
THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 16.16 ofthe Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Moving Buildings"is amended asfollows:
O 16.16.050 Fees for Permits:The fee for a permitto moveany structureshallbe one hundred dollars ($100)for the first five (5)blocks or any partthereof,over whichthestructure is tobe moved,and tendollars($10for each additional block or part thereof.Additionally,the applicantshall reimbursethecityforanyandallexpensesitmaybeputtoinconnectionwithsuchmoving,including theexpenseofmovingitsapparatusandequipment,such as trafficlights and police and fire signals,for the passage of such structure.
16,16.060 Structure Mover's License:No person or persons shall undertake to move any structureon thestreetsofthecitywithoutfirsttakingoutastructuremover's license,issued bytheBuildingOfficial
on applicationtherefor,thefee for which shall be fiftydollars ($50)per year.This license shallnotbetransferableandshallentitletheholdertoengageinthegeneralstructuremovingbusinessinthecity,on filingan indemnity bond or certificateof liabilityinsurance,as provided in thischapter,and upon compliance with allotherprovisions ofthischapter.
Section 2.The City Council declares that an emergency exists and this ordinance shall take effectimmediatelyasprovidedbylawupononereadingif2/3 of the entire City Council present vote in favor ofpassage.
