2087_00001ORDINANCE NO.2087 ANORDINANCE AMENDINGCHAPTER 13.08 OF THE MOSES LAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"WATER AND SEWER CONNECTIONS" THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITYOF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAINAS FOLLOWS: Section 1.Chapter 13.08 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Water and Sewer Connections"isamendedasfollows: 13.08.125 City Ownershio: A.The city shall have ownership of allwater mains,valves,fire hydrants,meters,meter tiles,servicelines,and otherappurtenances,which are located inthe right-of-wayor ina municipaleasement,upon being accepted by the City Council.The city ownership terminates at thepointofdelivery,which is at one of the following locations: 1.Water Mains:At the downstream side of the nearest valve to the city owned water main or the right-of-way line,whichever is closest to the citywater main. 2.Sentice Lines: a.At thedownstream side ofthemeter tilewhere themeter is located in theright-of-way or a municipaleasement. b.At either the curb stop or right-of-way line,whichever is closest to the water main,where the meter is on private property. 3.Meters:The cityshall own all meters regardless ofwhetherthey are located within right-of- way or on private property. B.Private Ownership:Water mains,service lines,valves,fire hydrants,meter tiles and other appurtenances that serve a binding site plan or one property and which have not beenacceptedbyCityCouncilshallremainprivatelyowned.The private ownership ofthese mainsshallbeginateithertheright-of-way lineor thedownstream side ofthenearest valvefrom thecity-owned water main,whichever is theshortest distance from the city-owned water main. Section 2 Section 13.08.170 of Chapter 13.08 oftheMoses Lake Municipal Code entitled"Water and SewerConnections"is repealed in its entirety: Section 3.This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5)days after its passage and publication ofitssummaryasprovidedbylaw.
