AN ORDINANCEAMENDINGCHAPTER2.44 OF THE MOSES LAKEMUNICIPALCODEENTITLED"PARKAND RECREATION COMMISSION"
THE CITYCOUNCILOF THE CITYOF MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON DO ORDAINAS FOLLOWS:
Section 1.Chapter 2.44 of the Moses Lake Municipal Code entitled "Park and Recreation Commission*"isamendedasfollows:
2.44.010 Commission Established:There is created a Park and RecreationCommission for the city,O consisting of nine (9)members,who shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmedby theCityCouncil,pursuanttoMLMC2.08.040.Atleastseven(7)membersshallresidewithinthecorporatelimitsofthecityanduptotwo(2)members shall reside inthecity'surbangrowth area outsidethecorporatelimitsofthecity.
2.44.020 Membership:Each member shall be appointed for a term of four (4)years.Upon vacancy bydeath,resignation,or other cause,theMayorshall fillthe vacancy byappointing,withconfirmationbytheCityCouncil,a member for theunexpired portion of theterm.
Section 2.This ordinance shall take effect and be inforce five (5)days after its passage and publication ofitssummaryasprovidedbylaw.
