2288ORDINANCE NO. 2288 • AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS KUNZE
FARMS TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON, AND INCORPORATING
THE SAME WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE,
AND WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE ASSUMPTION OF EXISTING INDEBTEDNESS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described real estate, as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit A which by
this reference is incorporated within this ordinance, situated in Grant County contiguous to the City of Moses
Lake is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Moses Lake:
A parcel of land lying in a portion of the South-half of the Southeast quarter, a portion of the Southwest
quarter and a portion of the South half of the Northwest quarter all lying within Section 30, Township 19 North,
Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at a United States Bureau of Reclamation brass cap marking the Northwest corner of the
Northwest quarter of said Section 30;
Thence South 00°26'49" East along the West line of the Northwest quarter of said Section 30 for a distance
of 1330.20 feet to the Northwest corner of the South-half of the Northwest quarter of said Section 30, said
point also being the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING;
Thence leaving the West line of the Northwest quarter of said Section 30, North 89°56'23" East along the
North line of the South-half of the Northwest quarter of said Section 30 for a distance of 2606.59 feet;
Thence leaving the North line of the South-half of the Northwest quarter of said Section 30, South 37°12'26"
East, 152.66 feet to the Northerly right-of-way line of Fairway Drive Northeast, said point being 30.00 feet
Northerly of the center line of said Fairway Drive Northeast when measured at right angles or radially;
Thence following the Northerly right-of-way line of said Fairway Drive Northeast the following courses:
Thence Southwesterly along the arc of a 273.03-foot radius non-tangent curve to the left (the radius of which
bears South 35°40'39" East) through a central angle of 45°00'04" for an arc distance of 214.45 feet;

Containing 176.28 acres, more or less.
Section 2. All property within the territory annexed shall hereinafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate
and on the same basis as other property within the city to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City
of Moses Lake contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation. No property herein annexed shall
be released from any outstanding indebtedness levied against it prior to said annexation.
Section 3. That a copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Grant
County, Washington.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication of
its summary as provided by law.
