ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON, AND
INCORPORATING THE SAME WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF MOSES LAKE, AND WHICH PROVIDES FOR THE ASSUMPTION OF
EXISTING INDEBTEDNESS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described real estate, as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit A which by
this reference is incorporated within this ordinance, situated in Grant County contiguous to the City of Moses
Lake is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Moses Lake:
That portion of Farm Unit 96, Fourth Revision of Irrigation Block 41, Columbia Basin Project,
according to plat thereof filed August 10, 1955, records of Grant County, Washington, lying in the
Northwest quarter of Section 24, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County,
Washington, described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of said Farm Unit 96, thence South 89°14'29" East along the
south line thereof a distance of 1,323.64 feet; thence North 00°05'16" East, a distance of 504
feet; thence North 89°14'29" West a distance of 1,325.86 feet, more or less, to the west line of
said Farm Unit 96; thence South 00°09'50" East along said west line to the true point of
beginning;
EXCEPT, that portion thereof conveyed to the City of Moses Lake by deed dated April 21, 1982,
recorded May 14, 1982, under Auditor's File No. 732904; and
•EXCEPT, SR 17 (SSH 11 G) right-of-way as shown on said Farm Unit Plat ;
containing 13.70 acres, more or less. Parcel #19 0488 000
Farm Unit 97, Fourth Revision of Irrigation Block 41, Columbia Basin Project, according to the
plat thereof filed August 10, 1955, records of Grant County, Washington, lying in the Southwest
quarter of Section 24, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M, Grant County, Washington;
EXCEPT, that portion thereof described as follows:
Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Farm Unit 97, which point is also the Northwest corner
of said Southwest quarter; thence South 89°14'29" East along the north boundary of said Farm
Unit, a distance of 958.27 feet; thence South 00°45'31" West, a distance of 160 feet; thence
North 89°14'29" West 957 feet to the west boundary of said Farm Unit; thence North OG°18'10"
East, 160 feet to the true point of beginning;
EXCEPT, that portion thereof conveyed to the City of Moses Lake by deed dated March 23, 1982,
recorded May 6, 1982, under Auditor's File No. 732479; and
EXCEPT, that portion thereof conveyed to the City of Moses Lake by deed dated June 22, 1982
recorded July 16, 1982, under Auditor's File No. 734990; and
EXCEPT, SR 17 (SSH 11 G) right-of-way as shown on said Farm Unit Plat;
containing 23.85 acres more or less. Parcel #19 0489 000

Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Farm Unit, which point is also the Northwest corner of
said Southwest quarter; thence South 89°14'29" East, along the north boundary of said Farm
Unit, a distance of 958.27 feet; thence South 00°45'31" West, a distance of 160 feet; thence
North 89°14'29" West, a distance of 957.00 feet to the west boundary of said Farm Unit; thence
North 00°18'10" East, a distance of 160 feet to the Point of Beginning;
EXCEPT, that portion thereof conveyed to the City of Moses Lake by deed dated April 21, 1982,
recorded May 14, 2982, under Auditor's File No. 732903; and
EXCEPT, that portion thereof conveyed to the City of Moses Lake Deed dated June 21, 1982,
recorded July 16, 1982, under Auditor File No. 734989; and
EXCEPT, Highway 17 (SSH 11G) right-of-way as shown on said Farm Unit Plat;
containing 3.00 acres, more or less. Parcel #19 0490 000
Total area of Annexation: 40.55 acres more or less
Section 2. All property within the territory annexed shall hereinafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate
and on the same basis as other property within the city to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City
of Moses Lake contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation. No property herein annexed shall
be released from any outstanding indebtedness levied against it prior to said annexation.
Section 3. That a copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Grant
County, Washington.
Section 4. The property included in this annexation shall be zoned R-1, Single Family Residential.
Section 5. This ordinance is conditioned upon the owner of the parcel described in Exhibit A providing a park
fee or park dedication, as provided in Moses Lake Municipal Code Chapter 17.34 and providing fencing and
landscaping in compliance with Moses Lake Municipal Code Chapters 18.20 and 18.57 in connection with
any platting of this parcel commenced while any portion of the parcel remains outside the city's limits. This
ordinance shall not be published until those park, landscaping and fencing requirements have been complied
with. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication of its
summary as provided by law.
