AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE WILLIS
ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON, AND
INCORPORATING THE SAME WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF MOSES LAKE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described real estate, as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit A which by
this reference is incorporated within this ordinance, situated in Grant County contiguous to the City of Moses
Lake is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Moses Lake:
That portion of Farm Unit 124, Third Revision of Irrigation Block 41, Columbia Basin Project,
according to the plat thereof filed April 24, 1954, records of Grant County, Washington, described
as follows:
Beginning at the SE corner of Section 25, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M.;
thence North 89°19'20" West along the south line of said Section 25, a distance of 318 feet to
the true point of beginning;
thence continuing North 89°19'20" West, a distanced of 129.42 feet;
thence North 0°43'50" East, a distance of 417.42 feet;
thence South 89°19'20" East, a distance of 129.42 feet;
thence South 0°43'50" West, a distance of 417.42 feet to the true point of beginning.
Except for the south 30 feet.
Containing 1.24 acres more or less. Parcel Number 19 0537 000
Section 2. All property within the territory annexed shall hereinafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate
and on the same basis as other property within the city to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City
of Moses Lake contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation. No property herein annexed shall
be released from any outstanding indebtedness levied against it prior to said annexation.
Section 3. That a copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Grant
County, Washington.
Section 4. The property included in this annexation shall be zoned C-2, General Commercial
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication of
its summary as provided by law.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by its Mayor on 2008.
