ORDINANCE NO. 2416
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described public right-of-way shall be vacated:
A parcel of land dedicated for public use on the Parkhill - Scea Addition Plat, per Grant County
Auditor Plat Records Book 3, Page 50, located in the Northwest quarter of Section 22, Township
19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., City of Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington, described as
follows:
Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 11, Parkhill-Scea Addition Plat, thence along the
southeast line of said Lot 11, North 23°39'31" East, 158.70 feet to the northerly corner of said
lot 11; thence continuing North 23°39'31" East, 19.96 feet to the northerly point of Ordinance No.
2355, filed under Auditor number 1231749; thence North 53°43'00" East, 43.96 feet, parallel to
and 40 feet southeast of the Marina Drive centerline, to the southwesterly corner of Ordinance
No. 2284, filed under Auditor number 1218974; thence, along the southwest line of said
Ordinance, South 61°26'41" East, 11.05 feet to the north corner of Lot 2, Parkhill-Scea Addition
Plat; thence South 53°43'00" West, 26.01 feet along a northwesterly line of said Lot 2; thence
along the northwesterly line common to Lots 2,3,4,5, and 6, Parkhill-Scea Addition Plat, South
23°39'31" West, 204.84 feet to the southwesterly line of Lot 11, Parkhill-Scea Addition Plat,
extended; thence along said line extended North 36°17'00" West, 23.11 feet to the point of
beginning.
Containing 4,184.91 square feet, more or less.
Retaining municipal and public utility easements over the entire parcel.
Section 2. The city shall be compensated for one half the appraised value of the vacated property. The
vacation shall not become effective until the required compensation is received by the city.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication
of its summary as provided by law.
Adopted by the City Council and signed by its Mayor on October 14, 2008.
