HomeMy WebLinkAbout2422• ORDINANCE NO. 2422 AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE OLIN DEVELOPMENT TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON, AND INCORPORATING THE SAME WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The following described real estate, as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit A which by this reference is incorporated within this ordinance, situated in Grant County contiguous to the City of Moses Lake is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Moses Lake: All of Grant County Assessors Office parcel numbers 190544000, 190550000, 190524000, 190527000, 1905266000 and 190525000, in Farm Unit 124, Irrigation Block 41, Columbia Basin Project, being a portion of the southeast quarter of Section 25, Township 19 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, Washington, described as follows: Beginning at a point on the south boundary of the southeast quarter of said Section 25, said point bears North 89°19'20" West, 1527.50 feet, from the southeast corner of said section; thence North 00°37'00" East, following the east boundary of the DOT Short Plat as recorded in Short Plat Book 1 at Page 63, Records of Grant County, Washington, and its northerly projection, 868.50 feet, to the true point of beginning; thence North 89°19'20" West, parallel with the south boundary of said section, 844.36 feet, to the southeast corner of the Reservoir 8 Short Plat, as recorded in Book 8 of Short Plats, at Pages 9 and 10, Records of Grant County, Washington; thence North 00°38'33" East, parallel with the north-south mid-section line of said section, and following the east boundary of said short plat, 208.50 feet, to the northeast corner of said short plat; thence North 89°19'20" West, parallel with the south boundary of said section, and following the north boundary of said short plat, 268.00 feet, to an intersection with the north-south mid-section line of said section, and the west boundary of said Farm Unit 124; thence North 00°38'33" East, following said mid-section line, and said west boundary, 264.81 feet, to the southwest corner of Farm Unit 116, and the northwest corner of Farm Unit 124, said farm units being in Irrigation Block 41, Columbia Basin Project, Grant County, Washington; thence South 89°23'23" East, following the south boundary of said Farm Unit 116 and the north boundary of said Farm Unit 124, 1112.14 feet, to an intersection with the northerly projection of the east boundary of said DOT Short Plat; thence South 00°37'00" West, following said northerly projection, 474.62 feet, to the true point of beginning. Containing 10.82 acres more or less Except: That portion of the southeast quarter as described in Auditor's File Number 940211034, Records of Grant County, Washington, for Grant County Road, known as "Ramm Road", lying east of the east boundary of DOT Short Plat as recorded in Book 1 of Short Plats, at page 63, Records of Grant County, Washington, and its northerly projection thereof. All property within the territory annexed shall hereinafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate and on the same basis as other property within the city to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City of Moses Lake contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation. No property herein annexed shall be released from any outstanding indebtedness levied against it prior to said annexation. • Section 3. That a copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Grant County, Washington. Section 4. The property included in this annexation shall be zoned C-2, General Commercial and Business. Section 5.
