ORDINANCE NO. 2424
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF BLANCHET AVENUE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described public right-of-way shall be vacated:
That portion of Blanchet Avenue, formerly known as Sixth Avenue, dedicated on the Plat of Park
Orchard Tracts, Per Grant County Plat records Book 1, Page 36, located in the SW 1/4, Section
15, Township 19 North, Range 28 East. W.M., City of Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington,
described as follows:
Beginning at the west corner of Lot 6, Knolls Vista-Sixteenth Add., per Grant County Plat records
Book 6, Page 22, thence North 62°12'40" East, 543.65 feet, along the northwesterly line of
Knolls Vista-Sixteenth Add, and the northwesterly line of Lot 27, Knolls Vista-thirteenth Add., per
Grant County Plat records Book 5, Page 36 to the north corner of said Lot 27; thence North
36°18'23" East, 80.28 feet, to the southwest corner of Lot 26, Knolls Vista-Thirteenth Add.,
thence North 00°09'10" East, 28.22 feet, along the west line of said Lot 26; thence South
62°12'40" West, 629.08 feet, to the easterly right-of-way line of Grape Drive; thence South
27°47'20" East, 60.00 feet, along said right-of-way line, to the point of beginning,
Containing 0.82 acres more or less.
Retaining a 10.00 foot wide public utility easement coincident to the southeasterly, and east line
of said street vacation, and:
Retaining a 60.00 foot wide municipal easement 30.00 feet on each side of the following
described centerline:
Commencing at the north corner of Lot 27, Knolls Vista-Thirteenth Add., thence North 36°18'23"
East, 40.14 feet to the extended centerline of Pine Drive formerly known as Dogwood Road, as
shown on said Knolls-Vista-Thirteenth Add., to the point of beginning; thence North 48°56'20"
West, 45.53 feet, along said extended centerline, to the northwesterly line of Blanchet Avenue
and the centerline terminus.
Section 2. The city shall be compensated for one half the appraised value of the vacated property. The
vacation shall not become effective until the required compensation is received by the city.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication
of its summary as provided by law.
