AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING PROPERTY COMMONLY KNOWN AS THE AIRWAY
DRIVE ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON, AND
INCORPORATING THE SAME WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY
OF MOSES LAKE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MOSES LAKE, WASHINGTON DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following described real estate, as shown on the attached map marked Exhibit A which by
this reference is incorporated within this ordinance, situated in Grant County contiguous to the City of Moses
Lake is hereby annexed to and incorporated in the City of Moses Lake:
A parcel of land in the Northeast 1/4, Section 16, Township 19 North, Range 28 East W.M., City of
Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington, described as follows:
Commencing at the North 1/4 corner of Section 16, Township 19 North, Range 28 East W.M., thence
South 00°29'45"East, 1943.50 feet, along the west line of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 16, to the north
line of the City of Moses Lake corporate limits per Grant County Auditor's file number 793651; thence
North 89°30'15" East, 98.74 feet, along said north line, to the east line of the City of Moses Lake
corporate limits per Grant County Auditor's file number 793651; thence South 08°54'45" East, 194.53
feet, along said east line, to the point of beginning; thence North 81°05'27" East, 0.91 feet; thence along
a 540.00 foot radius non-tangent curve, concave to the east, an arc of 242.66 feet, the chord being
South 22°19'26" East, 240.62 feet; thence along a 460.00 foot radius curve, concave to the west, an arc
of 279.04 feet, the chord being South 17°49'02" East, 274.78 feet; thence South 00°49'34" East, 97.81
feet, to a north line of the City of Moses Lake corporate limits, which line is 30.00 feet south of the east-
west centerline of Section 16; thence South 89°33'52"West, 86.44 feet, along said north line to the west
line of the City Moses Lake corporate limits per Grant County Auditor's file number 793651, thence
North 08°54'45" West, 589.62 feet, along said west line, to the point of beginning; containing 0.87 acres
more or less.
Section 2. All property within the territory annexed shall hereinafter be assessed and taxed at the same rate
and on the same basis as other property within the city to pay for any outstanding indebtedness of the City
of Moses Lake contracted prior to or existing at the date of annexation. No property herein annexed shall
be released from any outstanding indebtedness levied against it prior to said annexation.
Section 3. That a copy of this ordinance shall be filed with the Board of County Commissioners of Grant
County, Washington.
Section 4. The property included in this annexation shall be zoned Public.
Section 5. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force five (5) days after its passage and publication
of its summary as provided by law.
