1980 03 18D U Q 2957 CITY OF MOSES LAKE MOSES LAKE,WASHINGTON CITY COUNCIL MEETING -SPECIAL MEETING March 18,1980 POLICE/COUNCIL FACILITY 8 p.m. Members Present:Steve Shinn,Barry Ziegler,Harvey Vernier,Bob Hill,Norm Johnson,and Chuck Edwards Absent:Don Swanson The meeting was called to order at 8 p.m.by Mayor Robert Hill. RESOLUTION -SUPPORT DEVELOPMENT OF THE COLUMBIA BASIN Mr.Shinn gave some background on this resolution for the Council and felt the Council should give support to the full development of the East High District but should not give consideration to the 1980 Reclamation Reform Act being considered by the United States Congress. There was considerable discussion by the Council and the resolution was amended to strike out all references to the 1980 Reclamation Reform Act. The resolution supporting full development of the Columbia Basin through uses of the Second Bacon Siphon and Tunnel was read in its entirety as changed. Mr.Ziegler moved that the resolution as changed be adopted,seconded by Mr.Johnson, and passed unanimously.
