1969 01 071327 COUNCIL MEETING -SPECIAL SESSION January 7,1969 8 o'clock PM -City Hall The City Council met in special session with the following councilmen present: Gordon Ebbert,Monte Holm,Otto Skaug,Jack Eng,John Jones,Ernest Lindell and Michael Boyle. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jones . Mayor Jones explained that the meeting had been called to take care of two items - the report from Lewis and Redford on the proposed four laning of Pioneer Way and the proposed sale of the former Morning Sun Dairy property.Mayor Jones reported Mr.Munro of Lewis and Redford Engineers had been unable to make the trip over the pass due to bad weather and because of the fact the meeting would consist of a determination on the Morning Sun Dairy property. JO The City Manager presented the council with the actual costs involved in obtaining the property and for the repairs and upkeep since its acquisition.These costs total $10,643.26.There would probably be an additional cost for revenue stamps on the sale which would bring the total costs to approximately $10,700.He also explained the sale would be subject to a special permit being obtained from the Planning Commission to approve use of the building as a church. The motion to sell the property for $10,500 made at the regular meeting of December 30,1968 was tabled.Mayorjones explained this meeting implies it is taken off the table for discussion.Motion by Monte Holmto take the matter off the table.Second by Ernest Lindell.Otto Skaug said the stated price of $10,500 would be a reasonal return for our investment on the property.Passed unanimously.
