Present were:Bob Hill,Bill Moe,Norman Johnson,Gordon Ebbert,Otto Skaug,
Dr.Ernest Lindell and Michael Boyle.
Mayor Otto Skaug called the meeting to ordec .Minutes of the previous meetings
of November 25,and December 1,1969 were approved as written upon a motion
by Bob Hill.Second by Norm Johnson.Passed.

CONSIDERATION OF BIDS -DRILLING WELL NO.10
A letter was read from Ron Baker,Assistant City Engineer,stating that bids
for this project were opened December 3,1969 and referred to tabulated bid
schedule as follows:

He recommend the City Council award the bid for drilling Well No.10 to
Frank L.Zimmerman,the low bidder.He also stated that a well permit will
be forthcoming from the Department of Natural Resources in approximately
two weeks and an order will be issued to proceed with the drilling only upon
receipt of the permit.
Motion by Bill Moe to award the bid to Frank L.Zimmerman.Second by
Bob Hill.Passed.
REQUEST TO CALL FOR BIDS ON AUTOMOTIVE VEHICLES

A letter was read from the City Manager,Chester L.Waggener,
requesting authorization from the City Council to call for bids for
one 4-door sedan;one van-type vehicle;two pick-ups;and one
dump truck.Purchase of these vehicles is provided for in the 1970
Budget.Reference was made to the Invitations to Bid and Specifi
cations.The Council was asked if they concurred with the specifi
cations as set forth.Norman Johnson made a motion regarding the
4-Door Sedan,Item 1.of Sheet 3 of 4,to add "and/or equal"after
listing of the three specific makes and models.Second by Bill Moe
Passed.
Motion by Michael Boyle to authorize the City Manager to call for
bids for the five vehicles.Second by Norm Johnson.Passed.
BURKE STREET SEWER MAIN -REDUCTION OF BOND
A letter was read from the Assistant City Engineer,Ron Baker,
recommending that the City accept the Burke Street Sewer Main
Extension adjacent to the Humphrey Addition and assume the
maintenance of the main.Also that the subdivision bond be reduced
from $6400 to $4977 due to the fact that the remaining utilities
uncompleted are as follows:80 feet -sanitary sewer main =$360;
200 feet -storm drain line =$800;water main =$3,360;610 feet
of street improvement =$457,making a total of $4977.00.
Motion by Gordon Ebbert to accept the sewer main extension for
maintenance and reduce the bond accordingly.Second by Bob Hill.
Passed.
PIONEER WAY AND BROADWAY -DESIGN PUBLIC HEARING
7 Aletter was read from the Washington State Highway Commission,
Department of Highways,stating that a "combined corridor-design"
hearing will be conducted by the Highway Department regarding the
Moses Lake-Alder Street Intersection on January 6,1970 at 1:30 PM.
at the City Hall in Moses Lake in conformance with the public hearing
requirements of the Federal Aid Highway Act,Title 23,United States
Code.This was for informational purposes only.
