Dietzen,William Hilderbrand and Fred Krueger. The minutes of the last meeting of May 10th were approved by the council. BILLS:were audited by the council.The motion by Holmes seconded by Hilderbrand= bilis be-paid and warrants drawn.Motion carried. DURRENTEXPENSE: Total amount paid:$&,027.01 - WATER&SENER: Total amount paid:669.9¼ STREET: Total amount paid•60.00 PAR PARK: Total amount paid:96.51 TRAFFIC CONTROL: Total amount paid 3.71 LIBRARY: Total amount paid:125.09 a NmuRENpTLi :379.27 NATURALGAS: Total amount paid:5,69.$8 FIREMENISPENSION: Total amount paid 211.00 SANITATION: Total amount paid 48.h2 INSURANCE PAIMENT 'lD HORANINSURANCE AGENCY:was explained by City Manager,Chester Waggener,stated payment was overdue and reason for this is that the Insurance.Policy does not meet bid specifications.Letter from Horan Insurance Company was read.The motion by Hilderbrand to reject payment of Insurance and call for new bids.No becond.Motion lost.The motion by Holmes seconded by Dietzen,City Manager be authorized to call General Insurance Company in Seattle and tell them we expect .there policy to conform with our bid specifications and if not,let them cancel the Policy and accept second bid of Firemen's Fund Insurance Company.Motion carried. DISPOSITION OF MAP TABLE:Mr.0.0.Shadduck appeared before the council inregards to a Map fable he had loaned to the City at the time the City Supervisor had tem- porary quarters in the Lake Building,and would like to know if the City wanted tobuyit,or return it to him.The motion by Krueger seconded by Dietzen to authorize the City Manager to purchase the Map Table at the price the city paid for two other Map Tables on April 30,1956 which were $125.30 each.Motion carried. 00RRECTTONNOTICE:Dr.Young appeared before the council inregards to correction. notice at 50h Division,stated that it would be coming up soon,and would likedefermentonituntilsoningordinanceispassed.The motion by Krueger seconded by Dietzen that date be set until after final decision of hearing on the New Comprehen- sive Zoning Ordinance.Motion carried. BOATOLUBPROPOSALREFERRALFROMPARK COMMISSION:The minutes of the Special Park i Board Meeting of May 16th,1960 regarding acquisition of land from Cascade Park, and stating that the Park Board would not object to the Boat Club purchasing such land to be developed for park purposes was read.The motion by Hilderbrand seconded by Stadshaug that the City Council would not object to acquisition of land in Cascade Park for land development for park pusposes,commencing approximately 125 feet south of the ERW center line of Section 16,thence continuing South a distance of 200 feetalongthelakeshoreandhavingadepthofapproximately200feet,as stated in theminutesoftheSpecialMeetingoftheParkBoard.Motion carried. HOUSING PAEŒNTCOUNCILAPPROVAL:Letter from City Manager,Chester Waggener,/Qstatingthatthe1960budgetincludesanitemforinterestanddebtretirement, under Code No.30,for housing payments in the som of $7,500.00 and sufficient taxmoneyhasnowbeenreceivedandrequestthecounciltoauthorizetheCityTreasurer to issue a check in the amount not to exceed $7,600.00 in redemption of registered warrants was read.The motion by Stark seconded by Hilderbrand that the request of the City Manager be granted and City Treasurer be authorized to issue a check intheamountnottoexceed$7,500.00.Motion carried. WELL NO.8 PROGRESS REPORT:Acting City Engineer J.Barth Anderson,reported thattheMidlandDrillingCompanywerepresentlyat230feet,ran into considerabletroublethepastweekorso,have had to blast and reduce hole size had cave-inat187feet. SANITATION BILLING AND COLLECTION PROCEDUREPROPOSED CHANGE:Letter from ActingCityEngineerJ.Garth Anderson inregards to proposed changes in the sanitationibillingandcollectionandrequestingthattheflatresidentialservicefeebesetat$1.50 per month,was read.The motion by Dietzen seconded byHilderbrand the matter be taken under advisement for further study and be brought back at thenextcouncilmeeting.Motion carried. REQUESTTO CALL FOR BIDS FOR BONDSONL.I,D.NO.12:The motion by Krueger secondedbyŠtark,issue call £or bids for Bonds for L.l.D.No.12 to be opened at the nextregularcouncilmeetingonJunelhth,1960,Motion carried. INSURANCEVOUCHERS:City Attorney John Calbom suggested,that the councilmen sign 70thevouchers,in event insurance should go thru and not hold up payment for anothercouncilmeeting.Bills were read.The motion by Dietzen seconded by Krueger,billsbepaid,subject to the Insurance Company meeting specifications of bid.Motioncarried.
