AUDITORrS EXAMINATION1998 and 1999:was read and discussed.City Manager,Chester /3Waggenerexplainedinbriefcertaincommentsandassoonasnewbillingmachineisallsetupthesecorrectionswillbetakencareof,under the new billing system. $l'July 12,1960 Cont'd REQUESTFOR BID CALL FOR NE POLICE CAR:Letter from City Manager,Chester Waggener, stating that the 1959 Ford Police-Car has 60,000.miles on it,and will need a good deal of repairs,and requests authorization to call for bids for replacement,with bids to be opened July 26th,1960 at 1:30 P.M.Discussion.The motion by Dietzen seconded by Stadshaug that the request to call for bids for a new police car be granted and bids be opened and read July 26th,1960 at 1:30 P.M.Motion carried. REQUEST TO DALLFOR BID FOR CAR FOR CITY HALL:Letter from City Manager,Chester Aaggener requesting the councilts consideration in authorizing a bid-call for a car for City Hall,would be used primarily by the Managers office,but also would be availáble for department heads'use on trips to conferences and city business.Ordinance stating the facts constituting the emergency and estimated.amount,and declaring that an emer- gency exists was read for the first time by title only.The motion by Dietzen seconded by Stark,to authorize the City Manager to call for bids on a City Car,also prepare specifications on Compact Dar for alternate bid to be opened and read on July 26th,1 1960 at 1:30 P.M.Motion carried. ZONING ORDINANCEFINAL HEARING:Letter from George Gust,chairmanof the Planning Commission,requesting that the hearing for the soning ordinance be set for July 12th 1960 at 8:00 P.M.was read.The motion by Stark seconded by Stadshaug,final hear- ing be held July 21st,1960 at 8:oo P.M.at the City Hall.Motion carried. RUSSELL ADDITION FINAL APPROVAL:Letter from Acting City Engineer,J.Garth Anderson recommmending acceptance of the Russell Addition Plat was read.The motion by Hilder- brand seconded by Stadshaug,to accept the final approval of Russell Addition Plat. Motion carried. REQUESTFOR CONSTRUCTIONPRIOR TO PLATTING:was explained by Building Insepetor,James Wright,on Tract 68 Battery Orchards Traats,it is platted in one large tract,but is not sub-divided into smaller parces1 for building purposes.The motion by Holmes seconded by Dietsen,authorize the Building Inspector to allow procedure with construction after approval of preliminary plat by Planning Connission and posting of a cash bond.Motion carried.
