The Council met in regular session,the meeting was called to order by Mayor Law
Councilmen present were:Gordon Ebbert, Russell Stark,Harold Stadshaug,
William Hilderbrand,John Dietzen and Alex Law.Fred Krueger was absent.
The minutes of the last meeting of N0vember 28th,were approved by the council.

Letter from City Manager,Chester Waggener,stating review board convened /O-
on Dec 6,196l,and recommended that the City Council grant the petition
for proposed annexation,and set date for public hearing at the next
regular council meeting on Dec 26th,196l.The motion by Stark seconded
by Stadshaug,recommendation of the City Manager be accepted,and Dec 26th,
be date set for public hearing on proposed annexation.Motion carried.
ORDINANCE NO.h52 AMENDING COUNCIL SALARIES
Was read for the second time by title only.The motion by Stark seconded
by Hilderbrand Ordinance N0.h52 be adopted and published.Motion carried.
RESOLUTION NO.21*1 AIRPORT CONSTRUCTION
Appropriating Federal Aid Funds was read.Motion by Hilderbrand seconded //<^°^'

RESOLUTION NO.2).i2 ACCEPTING DEED FROM UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
Letter from City Manager,ChesterWaggener,stating Resolution proposing"^
acceptance of a Deed from the United States of America,was filed in the
office of the Grant County Auditor,on Nov 8,196l,relinquishing all
right,title and interest to a perpetual right-of-way and easement along
the southwest one-quarter of the City Airport property.Resolution read.
Motion by Dietzen seconded by Stark,Resolution No.2l<2 be adopted.

FIRE DEPARTMENT -MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT
Letter from City Manager,Chester Waggener,requesting authorization to
execute agreement with Grant County Fire Dept No.5,to provide fire
protection service for the Peninsula area was read.The motion by Dietzen
seconded by Stadshaug,to authorize City Manager,to execute agreement.
Motion carried.
AUTOMOTIVE EQUIPMENT-CALL FOR BIDS
.|-]Letter from City Manager,Chester Waggener,stating 1962 Budget provides
for purchase of two four-door sedans and two standard one-half ton pick
ups,and requesting authorization from the City Council to call for bids
to be opened at 1:30 P.M.Dec 26th were read.Motion by Dietzen seconded
by Hilderbrand call for bids be granted.Motion carried.
PLANNING COMMISSION APPOINTMENT
Mayor Law,requests confirmation to apDoint Robert Scheirbeck to the
Planning Commission,to fulfill the unexpired term of Gordon Ebbert.
The motion by Ebbert seconded by Stadshaug,Mr.Robert Scheirbeck be
appointed to the Planning Commission,to fulfill the unexpired term of
Gordon Ebbert.Motion carried.
ST PATRICK'S ADDITION-ACCEPTANCE OF WATER LINE
Letter from J.Garth Anderson,Director of Public Works,on the acceptance
of water line in St.Patrick's Addition,and requesting authorization
to reduce the utility bond read.The motion by Ebbert,seconded by
Dietzen,to accept the Water Line in the St.Patrick's Addition,and bond
be reduced in the appropriate amount.Motion carried.
TRAFFIC CONTROL-PIONEER WAY FROM WHEELER ROAD TO ALDER STREET

Explained by J.Garth Anderson,Director of Public Works,Discussion.
The motion by Hilderbrand seconded by Stark,to make no change in the
traffic channelization at Wheeler Road and Pioneer Way,except to alleviate
the parking condition in front of the Tri-State Store.Further discussion
of proposed traffic changes along Pioneer Way and at Broadway and Alder.
No action requested.
APPLICATION FOR CITY WATER
Mr.John Kolve,appeared before the council in regards to getting City
water,to small building in back of the proposed V.F.W.Post H0me,located
on Valley road,formerly Mclnroy Meats,which is unplatted property.Council
policy is that city water not furnished for unplatted property.The
motion by Stark,seconded by Hilderbrand,matter be tabled for further
study and City Manager and Planning Commission check further,and report
back in two weeks,at next council meeting on 26th of Dec.M0tion carried.
