1962 02 27February ?7,1962 COUNCIL MEETING REGULAR SESSION 8 P-M.CITY HALL The Council met in regular session,the meeting was called to orer by Mayor Law,councilmen present were:Gordon Ebbert,Harold Stadshaug,William Hilderbrand and Alex Law.Councilmen Fred Krueger,Russell Stark and John Dietzen were absent. The minutes of the last meeting of February 13th,were approved by the council. BILLS CURRENT EXPENSE Total amount paid $3,370.85 WATER &SEWER -Total amount paid 10,702.72 STREET -Total amount paid 226.59 PARK &RECREATION - Total amount paid 1*0.28 EQUIPMENT RENTAL -Total amount paid 783.11: LIBRARY -Total amount paid 253.1*8 SANITATION-Total amount paid 72.12 Bills.were audited by the council.Motion by Hilderbrand seconded by Ebbert,Bills be paid and warrants drawn.Motion carried. RESOLUTION NO.255 Conveyance of Property to Oral A.Guffin Resolution read.City of Moses Lake has agreed to convey a certain portion of McCosh Park in exchange for other property.Motion by Stadshaug seconded by Hilderbrand,Resolution No.255 be adopted. Motion carried. STREET STRIPING MACHINE Public Works Director,J.Garth Anderson,requested authorization to /O/7 purchase Street Striping Machine.Bids were opened Feb 26th,1962. Motion by Stadshaug seconded byHilderbrand to purchase the M-B Linemaster Machine,bid by Farris Equipment Co,of Spokane for $1778.1*0 also a Bead Dispenser for $351*.62,and Intermittent Line Timer for $301.60 and an Outboard Gun Bracket for $30.16,and prepare Resolution to transfer Funds from Code 287 to Code 290 for next council meeting.Motion carried. RESOLUTION NO. 259 Commending Shirley Hake,City of Moses Lake Librarian read.Motion by Stadshaug,seconded by Hilderbrand,Resolution No.259 be adopted. Motion passed unaminously. RESOLUTION NO. 260 Authorizing the City Manager to execute the Acceptance of Amendment No.1 of the Federal Aviation Agency Grant-Agreement offer read.Motion by Hilderbrand seconded by Stadshaug,Res No.260 be adopted.Motion carried. LETTER FROM JOHN R.LEWIS On Highway Improvements and listing proposed names of committee to work ///7 with the council,engineer and City Manager,to work out traffic problem on Broadway read.
