1962 03 27u MARCH 27,1962 COUNCIL MEETING REGULAR SESSION 8:00 P.M.CITY HALL The council met in regular session,the meeting was called to order by Mayor Lavj.Councilmen present were:Gordon Ebbert,Russell Stark,Harold Stadshaug William Hilderbrand,John Dietzen,Fred Krueger and Alex Law.Councilman elect Otto Skaug also in attendance. Minutes of the last meeting of March 13th,were approved by the council.Minutes of the Special meeting of March 20th,were approved by the council. BID AWARD AUTOMOBILE Letter from City Manager,Chester Waggener,bids were opened and read ZO/7 at 1:30 P.M.March 26th,and only one bid submitted,that of Moses Lake Ford Sales,Inc.Recommends the acceptance of this bid.Motion by Stark seconded by Stadshaug,bid be awarded to the only bidder, Moses Lake Ford Sales,Inc.in the amount of $1350.00.Motion carried. L.I.D.#16 PUBLIC HEARING Mayor opened public hearing for L.I.D.§16,and asked the City Manager,//oO Chester Waggener,to explain procedure on L.I.D.fs.Letter from Director of Public Works,J.Garth Anderson,giving estimated cost of improvement $389,256.00 read.Mr.Anderson explained general procedures to the public.Mayor called for statements from the citizens on Unit No.1.No questions.No.2 No questions.Unit No.3.No questions. BESSELMAN ADDITION (a Mr.Levi Mackin presented his request for drainage problem on Lots Five and six of Besselman Addition.Motion by Hilderbrand seconded by Krueger drainage problem to be studied and report back at next council neeting. Motion by Hilderbrand seconded by Dietzen, to notify renters building will be closed in thirty days.Motion carried. VOLUNTEER FIREMEN PENSION BOARD Appointment of councilman to board.Mayor Law appointed William Hilderbrand.
