1964 11 16943 COUNCIL MEETING SPECIAL SESSION -CITY HALL -4:30 P.M.November 16,1964 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Stadshaug.Other Councilmen present were:Otto Skauc,Jack Eng and Forrest Hardin. .q\°\Motion by Hardin, seconded by Eng,that the discussion regarding the State Highway Department proposed limited access be taken from the table.Motion carried. Mr.Waggener showed Council maps of the proposed limited access, explaining that nothing in the agreement would put the city in a position to have to spend more money. Any rights-of-way that may need to be acquired will be the responsibility of the State. The Nelson road access has been discussed with Mr.Smith and Mr.Farris. The note is somewhat vague, but the locked gate is on the Bureau of Reclamation roadway, not the school's.The school will have the same access as they do now. Mr.Waggener emphasized to Council that in approving this plan, they will be approving limited access almost to Patten Blvd.,not merely the Nelson Road interchange, although he did not foresee any problems. There is quite a change on Stratford Road, as they will be moving the highway South. In discussions with Bill Daugaard, the Highway Department has indicated that they will continue the same type of construction on Market street, as the City will be doing on the Market Street LID. Motion by Hardin, seconded by Eng,adopting Resolution No. 345 approving the revision of limited access on Secondary State Highway No.11-G (SR 17)within the corporate limits of the City of Moses Lake,as submitted by the State Hiahway Department.Motion carried. Meeting adjourned at 4:50 P.M. ATTEST:
