COUNCIL MEETING
REGULAR SESSION - 8 o'clock PM -City Hall May 9,1967
The City Council met in regular session with the meeting called to order
by Mayor Stadshaug.Councilmen present were:Gordon Ebbert,Monte
Holm,Otto Skaug,Jack Eng,John Jones and Mayor Stadshaug.Council
man Hardin was absent.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as written.
Regular bills were approved by a motion by Jack Eng,second by John Jones,
to pay the bills and draw warrants .Passed unanimously.

Motion by Holm,second by Jones to pay the special bills.Passed
unanimously.
Warrants No.12 641 through 12 705 in the amount of $18,189.33 were approved for
payment.
CONSIDERATION OF BIDS -REST ROOMS AT CASCADE AND MONTLAKE PARKS
A letter from Bill Skeels,Park and Recreation Director,was read
recommending that Lawrence Vance be awarded the contract to con
struct comfort stations at Cascade and Montlake Parks.Mr.Vance's
basic bid amounted to $21,687 with an addition of $449.00 for electric
heaters ,for a total bid of $22 ,136 .00 .The next closest bid was
$25,752.40.
Motion by Mayor Stadshaug,second by Jack Eng,to award the bid to
construct the comfort stations at Cascade and Montlake Parks to
Lawrence Vance.Passed unanimously.
RESOLUTION No.430 -TRANSFER OF FUNDS -POLICE DEPARTMENT

Resolution No.430 was read transferring $22 7.00 from budget code
10.3.2 Unappropriated Contingency to 13.3.1 Police Equipment,
for the purchase of a new radio communication base station for the
Police Department.The price had increased $227.00 from that bud
geted for the purchase and installation,making this transfer necessary
Motion by Monte Holm,second by John Jones to adopt the Resolution
No.430 transferring funds from 10.3.2 Unappropriated Contingency
to 13 .3 .1 Police Equipment in the amount of $227.00.Passed
unanimously.

COUNCIL ELECTIONS -INFORMATIONAL DATA
Announcement was made of the first and last days for filing for council
positions,the date of the primary election,general election and the
date of the new councilmen take office.Terms of Harold Stadshaug,
Otto Skaug and Gordon Ebbert terminate.The position of Councilman
Jones will be for a two year period as he was appointed to fill an un
expired term.

Mayor Stadshaug announced that he will not run for reelection for the
City Council and asked that people who are interested give thought to
filing for positions on the Council.He asked that those who desire to
run for reelection file early and let the people know that they are running
and,if not,let the people know so they will be encouraged to file.
Mr.Ray Norman was acknowledged by the Mayor.He was present at the meeting
as a visitor.
The Mayor acknowledged,also,the presence of Cyd Combs,a new member of
the Planning Commission.
