ALDEE STREET DAUSEVII:Chet Waggener gave report,some channelization is incompletehowever,this will be completed as soon as possible.Rough ride on West side ofbridge,corrected measures will be taken on it.
INTERSECTION AT BROADWAY:Mr.Jack Lexic appeared before the council in regards totheintersectionatBroadway,stated the free right hand turn on Broadway was ahinderencetoparkingandbusiness,and would like to see it taken out,also Mk.Chuck Edwards of the Coast to coast store,Mr.McIntyre of Western Auto,Mr.Albert Hill of Hill's Jewelry,Mrs.Ida Cbben of the Shamrock Cafe,stated itwasahinderencetotherebusiness.Mr.Charles Shelburn spoke in behalf of WesternAuto,suggested that perhaps the free right turn could be used during the rush hoursonly.Discussion meeting to be held with the business men,engineers and councilmenforfurthersutdy,committee to be appointed by the Mayor.

LOWRENT PUELIC HOUSING:Mr.Harvey Fitts of Grant Ocunty was present and answered
questions.The motion by Hilderbrand seconded by Dietzen to adopt Federal Low Rent
Eensing pland and make application for 60 units.Motion carried.
MOSQUITO CONTROLFINANCIAL REPORT:was read.Present ba1änce of $1,507.98.The
mofion by Dietzen seconded by Krueger letter be written to the people of theMoscinitocontrolinregardstotheregoodwork.Motion carried.
GRAY&OSBORIE INSURANCE 01AIM:letter read by City Attorney stating the insurance
investigators would be ibÅ’vië shortly.
STATE HIJJAY DEPT MAINTENANCE:Agreement between the City and the State Hi-Way Dept
on access roads was explained by City Engineer ChetWaggener,referred to the Street
committee for investigation and study.
FIRE DEPT RULES AND EEGULATIONS:were presented by Fire Chief Chet Rolly.The motion
byWest seconded by Dietzen rules and regulations be adonted.Motion carried.
AMENDMENÍTOORDINANCE#208 :Chief Rolly presented an amendment to Section 1 of
Ordinance #208.The motion by West seconded by Krueger Ordinance be read,Motion
carried.
OEDIKANCENO.371:Amending ordinance No.208:The motion by West seconded by Dietzen
Ordinance No.37Ï be adopted and published.Motion carried.
LETTEE FROMBUILDING ÏNSPECTOR:Jim Wright on his course at Pullman was read.Jim
thanked the council for the opportunity to attend this meeting,as he felt he had
rained a lot from the course.
AGREEMENTBETJERN THE CITY AND THE MILWAUKEERAILROAD:Chet Waggeber presented the
agreement to the council,fdt crisiiniféiniiffolontlake Park.The motion by
Stark,seconded byWest that the matter be tabled until the next council meeting.
Motion carried.West referred the agreement to the City Attorney for further study.
CIVIL SERVICE COMKISSION:Letter from Ray L.Greenwood of the Civil Service commission
and Ýire Chief Rolly recommending the appointment of Firemen Otto Jensen to the
position of Fire Captain.Letter also read from Mayor Boyle recommending the council
approval.The motion by Krueger,seconded byWest to appoint Otto Jensen Fire
Cactain.Motion carried.
TRANSFER:Ray McGrv City Comptroller reauested the counci1rs approval to transfer'
the disi of the new truck purchased for the Street Dept in the amount of $h,op7.i6 de
from the Street Fund,bridges and causeways classification to Equipment Rental.The
motion by Holmes seconded by Stark to authorize the transfer.Motion carried.
LETTER FROMWILLIAM ROACH;Business Manager of the Labor Council was read.In
answer to Mr.Roach's letter Mr.Ed Snook,manager of the gas Dept,erolained they
use men they felt were qualified.and felt the job was well done at a reasonable rate
Mr.Roach that it was his belief that the work the city did on the Alder Street fill
and the new high school was construction work,rather than maintenance,and that the
the work done was not certified.The motion by Stark swoonded byRest that the MayortS
office be instructed to investigate these charges.Motion carried with Holmes voting
