A letter was read regarding the request of the hosoital to havemorestreetlightsaroundtheproperty.Therequestawill be referredþotheP.U.D.
The needs of the fire Department were discussed,for
new equipment.The Mayor advised the Council that a bohdissuewouldbelegal,but no further actionwwas taken at thistime.
Two reccomendations from the Planning Council were presented,
one to place more gravel on the streets and one to request therailroadtoinstalleleãtricivarningsignalsontheAlderstseetcrossingandonthecrossingonU.S.#10 west of theCity.the reccomendation for the gravl will be checked with
County Commissioner Geo Sparks regarding the amount of gravelrequiredandtheoneregardingtheelectriesiganlstabledtothenextmeeting.
Dorothy Penhallink was appointed Police Matron and theappointmentconfirmedbytheCouncil.The apoointment tobeineffectuntilsuchtimeasfundsarenotikvällable .Thesalarywillbe$40.00 per month.
