Meeting called to open bids for the steel water tank.
Four bids were opened,as follows;

The bids being tabulated by Engineer Don Grey &G.D.HallandpresentedtotheCouncil,a discusì&n ensued between ihecontractorspresentregardingthemeritsofsteelandconcretetanks.
The property owners on Birch between ¶th and 7th streetspresented"apeltition to haver the curb in thex affected sageai_s,et back one or two feet or a.total of seven feet from Whopropbrtylineinsteadoftenfeetbecauseofdhenarrowátiā¢eet,1t leing felt that thedider stre.et would givechildrenintheareabetterprotection.The petition
was approved by the Council.
The Mayor then called for a motion to recess the meetinguntil12noonApril1st,taking the bids under advisement .
A motion by Councilman Gillett 2nd by Taylor was thereforeadean:d?earried.
